Yesterday was the second day of the world’s largest Global Foundations Forum in Chongqing city. In his speech, Kazybek Shaikh, chairman of Kazakhstan’s Fund of Peace noted, that Kazakhstan is a large country with 16 mln population and over 100 nationalities. At the same time Kazakhstan is a small country which needs development and reinforcement of cooperation with other countries.

Mr.Shaikh hopes that Chongqing Summit will provide basis for «Chongqing Memorandum».

Kazybek Shaikh pointed out that China had created worldwide known “Great Silk Way”, which included most of Eurasian cities. At the same time the development of global economy is not limited to dry land. Taking into account today’s world globalization process it is necessary to renovate the ancient “Silk Way” for acceleration of cooperation and development between countries. But we need to renovate it in a new form corresponding to today’s reality. It is necessary to include such countries as the USA, Australia etc. into the new Silk Way.

According to Mr.Shaikh, the new concept of the Silk Way provides opportunity for each nation with various resources to do research, as a result of which different cooperation projects and works might be done. Many cities are willing to become a part of the new Silk way.

昨天，世界大型基金会重庆高峰论坛进入第二天，与会的基金会负责人以精彩的演讲，将目前全球基金会的发展历程和前景，呈现在了大家的面前。

哈萨克斯坦和平基金会执行主席卡孜别克·沙伊赫在他的发言中提到，哈萨克斯坦是一个幅员广阔的国家，通过各类基金会和其他非政府组织的帮助，将仅有 1600万人却有着100多个民族的国家联系起来。不过，哈萨克斯坦也是一个小国，需要在自己的发展过程中，加强与世界各国的合作。沙伊赫表示，希望能够 通过本次在重庆的峰会，与世界各国的基金会联合起来，并以此为基础，建立一个“重庆备忘录”。

沙伊赫说，古代中国建立起了世界闻名的 “丝绸之路”，这条“路”连接了欧亚大陆的许多沿线城市。不过，随着经济的发展，全球经济不仅只限于陆地，在海陆空各个空间，都有自己的发展。因此，在经 济全球化的今天，各国在加快合作和发展的同时，也应该将古老的“丝绸之路”再次建立起来。但在新的形式下，“丝绸之路”不再只是陆地上的连接和原有线路沿 线城市的合作，应该将美国、澳大利亚都包容进来，建设一条现代的新丝绸之路。

沙伊赫表示，在这条新丝绸之路的背景下，各国可以把自己 拥有的各种资源拿出来进行探讨，从探讨中来寻找运作的机制。他说，据他了解，在很多城市都有这样的意愿，都有成为新丝绸之路中一个点的可能。他表示，他所 在的基金会已经和重庆的相关负责人进行了交流，在哈萨克斯坦的阿拉木图做重庆的推介，在重庆做阿拉穆图的推介。
